If you haven't heard, Tony Hsieh tragically passed away from a house fire this holiday. I met Tony in 2011 at the Zappos Holiday party where one of my former coworkers from Eucalyptus invited me to the Holiday Party as his +1. Tony was one of the most inspiring, kind, impactful, and humble leaders that I've ever met. I'll never forget the bus ride out to the ranch (it was a western themed party), and there were so many people who just spoke so highly about Tony, the opportunities in Vegas after Zappos, and the biggest take away that I remember was that the people mattered. Tony genuinely cared.
I hope his family find the closure that they need during this time.
The world has lost a visionary.
